This tour is suited both for racing bike as well as electric- and mountain bike cyclists. There is one shortcoming though: a short passage along the Eiberg main road makes this tour unsuitable for a family excursion. Start at the village centre in Söll (parking places are available at the village entrance to the west, in front of the bar “Whisky-Mühle”) and ride via Moorsee to the inn Gasthof Oberstegen. From there follow the main road in the direction of Kufstein until the turn-off to Schwoich. Follow the road through the village and continue the road uphill to Bad Häring, Tyrol’s first health resort. At the crossing after the church follow the road on the right which takes you to Kirchbichl (as an alternative you can go on straight ahead until Gasteig where you get back to the route again). Now ride through Kirchbichl, pass the nice village square and continue in the direction of the Moorstrandbad and through the settlement Gasteig until Brugger Mühle where you get back to the old main road. Ride through the railway underpass at Bruckhäusl and continue via Pinnersdorf, Haus and Gries in the direction of Hopfgarten im Brixental. Take the road up to Itter (250 height metres), the lovely village on the sunny plateau. After the last descent to Mühltal you will get back to Söll on the main road B178. Alternative: you can take the sign-posted cycling path from Itter to Söll, which starts right at the fire station.
