After the last group of houses on the “Lärchenwiese” take the forest path into the “Weißenbachtal” valley. After a short walk, cross the usually dry “Weißenbach” stream bed. Follow the gently rising forest path until you reach the “Weißenbachhütte” mountain hut and finally the “Weißenbachalm” mountain hut. From there continue to the “Weißenbachsattel” and descend through the forest to the “Bärenbadalm” mountain hut. There are various options to descend into the valley: the path to the east along the ski piste leads to Achensee. Take the forest road (“Krautriedweg”) below the steep rock slope to walk comfortably into the valley. Follow the forest road to the next signpost and continue on the panoramic path to Maurach.
