This diverse trail run starts in Angertal, one of the four side valleys of the Gastein Valley. After crossing the Lafenbach stream, the route quickly transitions into a narrow forest trail, winding through the Wolfstall area toward Gadaunerer Hochalm. The dense spruce forest provides welcome shade on hot days as the trail steadily gains elevation.
Above the tree line, the landscape opens up, revealing the Gadaunerer Hochalm â a charming alpine settlement dotted with numerous huts. A short moment to catch your breath, then itâs time for a fast and fluid descent! The trail leads down through lush alpine meadows and across the Lafenmahder back into Angertal. A special highlight: Even at over 1,600 m, the steep mountain meadows are still traditionally mowed by local farmers â a remarkable blend of nature and heritage.
A trail run with idyllic alpine pastures, shady forest sections, and a smooth downhill â perfect for nature lovers with a need for speed!
