The Rhine Cycle Route runs along one of the longest rivers in Europe and invites you to discover the beauty of this riverscape and the picturesque towns and villages on its banks. Approximately 520 kilometers of the EuroVelo 15 route passes through Baden-Württemberg from Constance on Lake Constance to the university town of Mannheim. The Rhine is more than just a long river: it is a cultural area, a border, a namesake, a traffic artery, and an energy provider. No wonder many stories and myths surround this river, offering much to discover. Upon closer inspection, the long-distance cycle route offers some very worthwhile variations: almost the entire route is laid out on both sides of the Rhine. Just switch to the neighboring countries—first Switzerland, then France. This brings variety in every respect: scenic, historical, cultural, and culinary.
