Der rund 300 Kilometer lange Radfernweg kombiniert malerische Städte mit abwechslungsreichen Landschaften zwischen Natur- und Kulturerlebnis. Eine Tour, die abwechslungsreicher nicht sein kann.
Welch ein Startpunkt, welch ein Ziel: Vom malerischen Heidelberg bis an den nicht weniger schönen Bodensee führt dieser Radweg einmal ganz durch Baden-Württemberg, 300 Kilometer von Nord nach Süd. Er ist ebenso abwechslungs- wie steigungsreich, beginnt mit den tausend Hügeln des Kraichgaus, geht durch Täler und über Höhen des Schwarzwalds, bevor die Mühen ab Donaueschingen mit herrlichen Abfahrten belohnt werden. Auf der Strecke dieses ruhigen und überwiegend ländlichen Radwegs liegen die Kurpfälzer Spargellandschaft um Reilingen und St.Leon-Rot, die Goldstadt Pforzheim, der Hesse-Geburtsort Calw, Baden-Württembergs älteste Stadt Rottweil, die Donauquelle in Donaueschingen sowie die Burgruine Hohentwiel bei Singen, Deutschlands größte Festungsanlage. Wer es bis dorthin geschafft hat, der ist dem Ziel ganz nahe und kann die milde Luft des Bodensees schon fast riechen.
