The Styrian Kufstein is the local mountain of the municipality of Haus im Ennstal and a real jewel in the region. The way up is easy, the magnificent view from the highest point is absolutely worth seeing and the large summit cross is visible from far away.
Via the Stornalm you hike to the magnificent view summit Kufstein. This is a long but very attractive hike, which is only recommended in good weather. Through beautiful mixed forest you march towards the Stornalm. But the higher you get, the more the larches dominate. On trail no. 667 you first continue quite comfortably, then you climb over a steep, narrow path to the Kufstein summit (2,049 m). At the large summit cross you can enjoy a magnificent 360° panoramic view over the vastness of the Enns Valley and the feeling of freedom.
Descent Variant A: Slightly downhill through the mountain pine alleys and later through the Swiss stone pine forests, trail no. 667 leads to the Grafenbergalm (1,783 m). The return path no. 666 brings you back to the Stornalm/parking lot - starting point of the hike.
Descent variant B: Trail no. 667 takes you to the Grafenbergalm (1,783 m). After about 30 minutes, you will reach the Grafenbergsee lake and continue past it to the Ahornsee lake. Now the trail leads mostly through the forest back into the valley to the Weißenbach Kneipp facility.
