Schweinfurter Hütte

The Schweinfurter Hütte, surrounded by the Ötztal mountains, offers a magnificent panoramic view. It is very popular in summer as a starting point for many mountain tours and crossings, and in winter for ski tours and snowshoe hikes. The locals also call it the Gubener Hütte.

From Niederthai, follow the Horlachbach stream, passing the Larstig Alm, Klein- and Großhorlachalm, until you reach the Schweinfurter Hütte (approx. 2-hour hike). For a detailed route description, please refer to the website listed below (on the left).
