The cable car to the Hauser Kaibling allows you to halve the difference in altitude to this rewarding mountain destination. If you want to start quietly, choose the gently sloping forest path to the Kaibling Alm, but if you want to enjoy a beautiful view already at the beginning of this mountain tour, hike over the Hauser Kaibling summit (2,015 m) to the Rossfeldsattel. The further ascent is along trail no. 780 to the Seeschartl (beautiful deep view to the Moaralmsee) and through round humps and along huge rock debris further up. The following cirque seems even wilder and the climb up over rubble and scree is steep and partly secured. Afterwards you ascend on the west ridge over rock steps to the summit.
The open location above the Enns Valley and the framing by the highest peaks of the Schladminger Tauern provide a great panorama. The way back can be done in several ways. On the one hand, you can take the same path back to Hauser Kaibling or you descend via the beautifully situated Moaralmsee. From here you have the option of returning to the cable car or descending further into the Gumpental and taking the hiking cab back to the valley station of the cable car in Haus im Ennstal.
