Descrizione

Since the founding of the parish in 1074, Haus has developed into a religious and cultural center in the Upper Ennstal, and for a long time was the seat of a dean, and later also a district dean. This ecclesiastical importance is no longer given today due to diocesan reorganizations in recent times, but the boundaries of the current parish association again largely correspond to the former extent of the mother parish of Haus.

The museum in the former tithe storehouse of Haus parish, which was built in 1490, provides an insight into the history of the Upper Ennstal and displays sacred art and religious culture. The sorrowful time of the division of faith - Reformation and Counter-Reformation - is also represented in the exhibition as an essential part of the local religious history. Fascinating testimonies of piety and everyday magic lead into past life worlds.
