The trail run starts at the parking lot of the Stubnerkogel valley station, just below the Landhaus am Hügel. The first section is a relaxed warm-up along the sunny Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Promenade towards Böckstein â the perfect start before the steep climb begins! The trail winds through a dense, shady mountain forest lined with spruce, larch, and stone pine. The legs are working, the pulse is rising â and at the top, the reward awaits: a spectacular view of Schareck, the Anlauftal, and the majestic Bad Gastein.
But the run isnât over yet! The Böcksteiner Höhenweg winds spectacularly along steep mountain meadows, leading to Zittrauer Alm and further to the mid-station of the Stubnerkogelbahn. For those with energy left, the final challenge awaits: a fast and flowing downhill trail following the lift line directly into the valley. For everyone else, a relaxing ride down on the cable car offers a well-earned break. A trail run that combines technique, elevation, and breathtaking views!
