Culturally, Upper Lusatia can also boast many historical highlights along the route of the Via Sacra. For those who appreciate great views, the Upper Lusatia Mountain Trail offers a mindful excursion with its 6 stages and 7 peaks. Starting in Neukirch/Lausitz and passing the Spree source at Kottmar all the way to Zittau, the 107 km long trail leads over mountains and through valleys, past fantastic castles and amazing rock formations.
