Braunschweiger Hütte

The Braunschweiger Hut (Category I) is located at 2,759 m in the Ötztal Alps at the end of the Pitztal valley. Built in 1892, the hut was expanded in 1932 and 1965. It is situated along the long-distance hiking trail E5.

There are 30 beds and 150 dormitory spaces available!

You can either follow the trail over Pitztaler Jöchl to reach the Braunschweiger Hut (approx. 1.5 hours) or descend directly from the Rettenbachferner parking lot via Karlesferner to the hut (approx. 30 minutes). A detailed route description can be found on the website linked below.
