Do you know those moments when you think back on your mountain adventures and can’t help but smile? When you get that tingling feeling and you’re just filled with gratitude for what you’ve experienced? We do too! That’s why we have a suggestion for you: You can savor these moments even after the fact by recording your past hikes and tours and completing your digital summit log. It’s really easy: On the SummitLynx website and in the app, you can add past activities and relive those happy feelings all over again. Find out how here.
Please note: Hikes added after the fact will not be included in the tally for the summit pins.
Tip: If you've enabled mobile location services on your smartphone, the app will even show you your missed check-ins.
Add entries to the new iOS app
You can always add an entry via a location's details page. In the new iOS app, you have the following options for searching for a location:
Use the search function—type in the name of the location, select it, and you'll be taken to the details page. At the top of that page, you'll see a yellow button labeled “Add entry.”
Via the map - scroll to the desired section of the map, tap the location, and you can create the entry using the yellow “Add entry” button.
You can also add a photo, text, and additional information to your tour entry, just as you can with a live entry. Of course, you won’t earn any points this way!

- Enter the hiking location you want to add in the search field at the top of the page: .
- The map will automatically zoom in on your destination. Please tap the icon on the map, then tap the destination's name again to view its details.
